Really happy with this tofu! I don’t usually shop at Aldi but I will sometimes so I can pick up this cheap firm tofu and the yummy vegan nuggets from there too! ☺️
Buy this all the time from Aldi, works great in so many different dishes. (Even better when frozen and defrosted to soak up marinades better.) I think this 450g block is down to $2.50, so cheap! I like the convenient package size too, works out to 4 good sized portions. Main ingredient is soybean extract and it’s non-organic, I don’t really care about that but just in case you do. I have a feeling this Aldi tofu used to be organic, so they must’ve changed it at some point. #veganisnotscary
I am really growing to appreciate tofu, it is so versatile and I enjoy it in a lot of different ways, except when I go to a restaurant and they cut giant chunks of tofu which cannot possibly absorb the sources of their food in the 10 minutes they took to prepare the entire dish… It makes me mad for tofu because it’s getting a bad rap from stuff like that.
