Ever thought you could buy a beautiful, functional and desirable handbag or backpack that's made from apples, corn, cactus, fish nets and plastic bottles? Today all of that is possible, with close to zero environmental damage and without having to take a life or compromise on style. One of my favorite brands leading the charge is Miomojo, a company founded in Bergamo, Italy, just outside of Milan. This is where Covid kicked off its European tour back in 2020 and yet, this company found its way into my heart by sending me a beautiful black backpack made from recycled ghost nets from the fishing industry. It's been 2.5 years and this beautiful bag is still my daily companion. It's 10x nicer than a Prada bag, 10% of the cost with 0% of the damage. And I'm honored that this week Miomojo became a partner and client of abillion. With a mission to reduce and eliminate waste in the fashion industry globally, our partnership will give abillion members around the world access to this amazing company's products. Thank you Claudia Pievani and Elisa Di Lonardo for the partnership! @miomojo #miomojo

veronicagroen It is stunning. It makes my heart leap with joy to know something this beautiful came from 'ashes'. Who knew ghost nets can be made in something this beautiful.4 likesReply
vikas The amazing thing about people is we have this insane ability to take and destroy. At the same time, we have this remarkable ability for compassion, for creation and invention. There’s so much potential as more people see the light 🌞9 likesReply

ina-n Beautiful! I need to buy one!Reply
imreiko How do we dispose the product when we decide it is no longer usable?Reply
vikas Hi are you asking about this product or products in general? I try to buy things I can use forever. I’ve had my favorite travel bag for 15 years. My favorite hiking boots for 25 years. Believe it or not with the right care things look better with age! But when it finally comes to disposing of them, sometimes they can be donated and sometimes they do have to go in the trash or be recycled if possible. 3 likesReply
