The "Diablo" #veganpizza was the final of the four exclusive vegan pizzas for us to try - and it was amazing, just like all of Marameo's offers! The best #pizzacrust ever - so tender and chewy inside with a nice crispy outer layer. The toppings are #tomatosauce, #redonion, #blackolives, #veganchorizo and #veganmozzarella. The sweetness of the red onion, umami of black olive, tangy tomato sauce, creaminess of the mozz and the spicicines - yes nice #spicy heat! - chorizo is a perfect combo to delight the tastebuds!! We are so thrilled that Marameo offers 4 exclusively vegan pizzas so that there aren't any surcharges or substitutions, though here you can #asktoveganize any of their pizzas. It is dangerous to have this spot just a 5 minute walk from home. The Carmelito #veganpizza is one of the 4 new exclusively vegan pizzas at our favorite pizza place on earth. The crust is consistently amazing, chewy interior and crispy exterior, with a taste that defies anyone to try to top it. The toppings on this #pizza are #vegansausage (though they were out so susbsituted for #veganchorizo), #turnipgreens (aka #grelos or #friarielli) and #veganmozzarella. This Boscaiola pizza is one of the new vegan offerings at our favorite pizza place on earth! It seems like the vegan staff are having a blast creating new and flavorful combos, and with much success! Underneath the generous helping of #rucula there is #mushroom, #artichoke, #vegansausage, #vegantruffle oil and #veganmozzarella. The result is an explosion of flavors and textures that are a delight to savor!! And their crust is amazing, so chewy inside with a thin, crispy outer layer. I have to say that this pizzería has converted me to a white pizza lover - no tomato sauce needed for me to thoroughly enjoy pizza! I saw this new #veganpizza option on the specials board when I picked up a takeaway order a few weeks ago, and it is another winner from our absolute favorite pizza place in the world! It is called the Campagna, and the toppings are spicy #chorizo, plump #cherrytomatoes, umami #blackolives, #veganmozzarella and fresh #basil. All this on their amazing crust which is always crispy on the outside and chewy on the inside, along with a generously applied tomato sauce. As half the super-friendly staff are vegan, it is clear that they have fun coming up with new combos and this one is exclusively vegan - no need to veganize!! Priced at 14€. If you are visiting #elcotillo this place is a must for dinner. Apologies for the blurry photo, taken in too-dark lighting at home!! Not sure if the second photo of a leftover slice helps... Neither one does any justice to another AMAZING pizza from Marameo. This "white pizza" is named Carmelo, and is topped with #vegansausage, #blackolives, #turnipgreens ( #friarielli in Italian, #grelos in Spanish), and loads of #veganmozzarella. The crust cooked to perfection, lightly carbonized and crispy crust with an oh so tender inside. First time ordering a calzone, but won't be the last! Perfectly chewy and carbonized crust topped with tomato sauce then filled with a generous amount of tomato sauce and vegan mozzarella. A full meal for one! The staff are always super friendly and make even takeout fun to pick up. They shared that vegan tiramisu is now available!! I thought it was impossible to improve their garlic cheese bread, but when I saw this version with turnip greens that all changed! The bitterness of the greens is contrasted with punchy garlic and the slight sweetness of vegan cheese. All this on top of an artisan base that I still believe is the best in the world. 🥬🧄🧀 My only gripe is the cheese surcharge, but at least it provides a vegan option to almost all their dishes.
