Chicken rice

This chicken rice is totally satisfying. The rice is generous and fragrant. The chicken is tender. The chilli is spicy enough for my liking. I like the herbal soup as well, it taste like the diluted gravy from braised duck rice.

Request for vegan chicken; standard version contains milk. Rice not chickeny enough. Soup reminiscent of bak kut teh broth (one of their offerings) with pronounced herby sweet taste.

The flavour of the rice was on point. 👌🏼 However, don’t expect the ‘chicken’ to taste anything like chicken as it is just tau kee. The herbal soup that came with it was an interesting touch and wished there were more veggie in the dish.

The dish is not oily and the sauce tastes great. The mock chicken is made of steamed bean curd skin which is also nice. Comes with soup.
