Zalmon Zashimi

I always love trying vegan salmon sashimi!! The look of it is so convincing and it has a nice texture and taste. 🐟

The little guy enjoyed this #vegansashimi at Saute Sushi. He calls it “orange tofu”. He’s got no clue what it is replicating and the evils of the fishing industry. Bless his innocence… On the other hand, his older brother has seen enough docos to know and hates that this is trying too hard to look and taste like fish. It did the job. Looks slightly better than the sushi. It tasted a bit harder than it's competitor. Doesn't taste good on it's own and doesn't pair well with soy sauce. I wouldn't have this again.

First time trying vegan sashimi. I think this is made of konjac. While the texture isnt really there due to lack of fata, the taste was surprisingly pretty close to actual one. It kinda shocked my non vegan friends as well. Its worth a try but doesnt have the wow factor for me. I will probably still go for other more popular dishes
