I feel like I’ve done this dish a disservice by reviewing it as a #takeout

previously instead of having it at the temple restaurant ☸️ They’ve really upped their game since I had it a year ago, swapping the slightly odd choice of button mushrooms for oyster mushrooms 🍄 and giving a tonnes more variety in #tofu for texture! The broth is even more prawny than I remember 🦐 thanks to the excellent #belacan they seem to use! At least, that’s where I guess the flavour’s coming from based on their very #prawn flavoured side 🙈 As far as #laksa goes, the broth here is amazingly creamy and packs just the right amount of #spicy! As for as #veganlaksa goes though.. this one is stellar! Those #toohealthy ones can piss right off!! 😂 This one is great! #bestpicks #veganisnotscary

What a fantastic idea! What do you get when you cross two of Sarawak’s most

prized meals? A #laksa so delicious it I’m even at a loss of words to describe it 😩 Why isn’t this a thing elsewhere? To combine stringy #meekolok noodles with a laksa broth, genius! The staff weren’t kidding when they told me a week ago that even non-vegetarians literally come there for the #veganlaksa - wink wink nudge nudge @feliciousx #omnivoreapproved 😉 The choice of toppings were genius too, ranging from the basics like #tofu and taugeh to craftily cut slices of beancurd to mimic the texture of deep-fried egg 🍳 and cleverly seasoned #sambal to bring everything together with a prawny taste 🦐 Please, if you’re ever in #Kuching, try this. #veganisnotscary #bestpicks #Borneo


This was @dafnelately one of the most anticipated reviews I’ve ever brought to abillion. For

you see… I was but an ignorant fool to doubt that #kolokmee wouldn’t work in a #laksa #soup 😏😂

Though texture was where I feared failure, it was actually quite delightful 😋 The #noodles was cooked just under enough to still maintain its structural integri-bite as it soaked the hot inviting #broth 😌 Each mouthful was so incredibly savoury, aromatic, spicy and a little sweet😙 The assortment of toppings (though not apparent in the well of soup) were both generous as well as total quality 😝 There were cubes of fried soft #tofu, sliced strips of #tofupuff and #oystermushroom, blobettes of #mockmeat #mince, and of course, bean sprouts 🙃

For RM5 that’s a steal for the portion and quality these days!! 😉

Also, this is a dish from a very long time ago so the disposal cutleries are no longer in dine-in use 🤓

It’s one of the best laksas I’ve ever had, #vegetarian #vegan or otherwise 🤪


First time having vegan laksa.

The broth is creamy, close to green curry taste. Goes well

with the kolo mee noodle (instead of the usual bihun)

At the end of it, I finished everything and also downed the broth. That's how much I enjoyed it.
