I loved the vegan options at Chido Cafe! This pyanggang is a vegan version of a Mindanao dish made with ground burnt coconut. Such an interesting dish and served with a green mango salad and turmeric rice.
An excellent tvp that is pretty versatile. It does have a slight tvp flavour but can be easily remedied with rinsing. Great for curries and pulled pork.

This tvp product is very convenient as it keeps for ages and you don’t have to rehydrate. It is sticky so makes good patties. It does have quite a strong tvp flavour so you have to season heavily.
