Y’ALL DIDN’T DUDN’T HAVE TO GO GETS ME TWO 2️⃣ BIRTHDAY CAKES 🥹 …though that very much became a thing for me because I’d grown hating sweet things 🍬 while all my Malaysian comrades would eat to full utility of our amazing and affordable public healthcare 🫄 This #cake was decadent! Absolutely solid to cut into 😵 What on earth did they make the #chocolate frosting out of?? 🍫 This would the first of two cakes my colleagues — definitely dear friends after all we’ve gone through got for me and I’m eternally grateful ☺️ Highly recommended! Rich and chocolatey. Frosting melts in mouth. Perfectly moist when served but started to dry out after awhile. Good frosting to sponge ratio. Yum!
Rich and thick chocolate cake made using raw cacao, beetroot, and soy milk, slathered in dark chocolate caramel ganache. The presentation of this cake seems to have changed; it used to be a smooth layer of ganache topped with berries, but now has swirls of ganache. I actually enjoyed the cake especially the chocolate. The chocolate was so rich, Def towards the dark chocolate side. And the chocolate shavings/texture, adds to the texture and different chocolate taste. But I did not really like the cake itself, the texture was really like huat kueh, that's the closest I can relate it to and there wasn't much taste to the cake itself. Since the chocolate was really good, the taste or texture of the cake can be ignored or go unnoticeable. Also love that the chocolate was like a hard shell texture even though it makes it hard to cut thru, I don't mind it.
The cake itself is good but it's really the ganache with a powerful coconut and chocolate taste that makes it a great desert !
