
I’m not usually a huge fan of udon but I like the sauce. It’s really unique (not sure how to describe it) but tasty as well. I wouldn’t say it tasted like salted egg though. #veganisnotscary
🍄🍝 U-don wanna miss a thing. But I'm missing this dish already. I didn't really expect much from the dish, so I added a tempeh to up my happiness level. But I think too much happiness might not be a good thing. Haha. I dont know what they did, but the yellow sauce had this nice umami flavour almost close to the salted egg taste (but without the terrible aroma of salted egg). And I believe it is based on pumpkin. Udon... never was a fan, but I approve the udon sticking on to the sauce. Hahaha. Love the serving of purple cabbage for a burst of colour and freshness. Fried lion mane mushroom... cannot go wrong. 😍😍
U-don wanna miss out trying this punny dish! The sauce is magical and clings to the noodles so well - as I savoured it I thought “what sorcery is this??” because it tastes so uncannily like salted egg sauce! I only wished that the udon was springier as it was a tad over-cooked.
Chubby udon noodles, edamame beans, and crispy soy meat chunks. All coated with their housemade pumpkin 'salted egg yolk' sauce. Not very close to real salted egg yolk but umami nonetheless! ($16.50)
