Crispy crusted baguette packed to the maximum with pickles, seitan, herbs, mushroom pâté, homemade sriracha

Mayo and egg (is the yellow bits egg or tofu?). Lots of liao. Quite messy to eat. Very yummy although can’t really taste the mayo in it.

This is $9.80 (+50c for takeaway), which is a little pricey but the ingredients are

fresh and healthy.

This is honestly so freaking delicious. I don’t know what the heck they put inside this but I’m ADDICTED. Ever since their opening, I’ve been eating this at least once a week and I crave it so much.

The baguette is crispy on the outside, but a little tough to bite through. Along with the amount of veggies and stuffing they put inside, it makes for a very messy meal and I have no idea how people who dine in eat it.

It is loaded with fresh veggies on the top that gives that crunch, with some chilli for extra flavour (it isn’t overly spicy but rather complements the salty “egg“ and seitan).

Then the star of the show, the egg/tofu scramble. It actually taste so much like egg! When I first tried this, I had to do a double take and make sure that it wasn’t egg. Thankfully this is a fully vegan restaurant and it looks more like tofu than egg. The seitan and egg/tofu scramble works so well together. Ah...typing this out makes me want to eat this again (even though I just had it this morning lmao).

The only downside is the actual store, it is too small to actually dine in there, especially if you want privacy (you‘re basically facing the crowd of people coming into the mall while stuffing your face messily). It kinda sucks that they charge extra for takeaway, even though they still use disposables when you’re dining in. Also, because of the store being so small, they have a limited items unlike their main outlet. A little disappointed that I couldn’t try their bubble tea!

But that being said, if you’re in the area, you have to try this! I think it’s the best item in this outlet!

Day 6 of #veganisnotscary

The takeaway bahn mi was good but the dine-in baguette I had was far better

(crispy 🥖). This time the presentation was different and not as appealing as my previous order. I think I was given a bigger portion previously as well. There were also big pieces of hidden chillies inside which was too much for my hubby. 🌶️
Takeaway costs 50cents more - another reason to dine in.

Same dish, same outlet, different dining experience on different days of the week.
The first bahn

mi was perfect - very crispy with generous amount of fillings neatly packed between the baguette 🥖. 5 stars! I could eat this everyday.
2nd visit (the next day) was disappointing - baguette was still nicely toasted but amount of ingredients were far less. The pickled taste of the carrot shreds was quite strong. Not only that, it was VERY messily prepared, filings were all "loose" and falling out all the time while i was eating & just contained way too much dressing! The thick serviettes i was using to hold the bahn mi was soaked thru! Gross. (this was my own serviette by the way, Kind Bowl provides only the regular thin tissues which won't hold up).
3rd visit (the same week) - some redemption here as quality of bahn mi was much better than the last; but it had very little carrot shreds. The amount of parsley included in the banh mi also varied greatly between servers.
Consistency in the standard of food is what differentiates the Good from Very Good, and smth i hope to see more of at Kind Bowl.

Very excited to chance upon The Kind Bowl's new outlet in my neighborhood!
The baguette didn't

disappoint - I love the crispiness of the bread and how visually stimulating it looked with the yellow tofu and red chillies. The ingredients all came nicely together and there was variety in the textures from the crunchy fresh veg, soft seitan and crumbly tofu.

Cons - this is a tiny store with very limited seating. Food served in paper bowls. Limited menu. Big gap between the service standards of the staff; one lady was friendly whilst another looked like she couldn't be bothered to take my order (this was my second visit, when there were no other customers around)

Third time's not a charm with this bahn mi. Didn't look like it from

the picture but the bahn mi was actually pretty loosely packed. Not as much filling and crunchy fresh veg compared with my very first visit to this outlet. I just wished there was more consistency to the food served but maybe my expectations needs to be tempered for a small time cafe?? Didn't feel that my $9.80 was that well-spent today.

Very tasty. Impressed. Got takeout, one hour on the road and the bread was still

crispy. Fillings inside were a good combination of flavours and texture. I think it had seitan, scrambled tofu and the delicious pickled veg. However, it's a little pricey.

Bread was toasted nice and crispy, toppings were overflowing, fillings keep dropping out as I

was biting into the sandwich (so you can guess how loaded it was). Lovely comfort food, but healthy.
