Well made seitan .. Crispy fried 🐔.. Can't say for sure if it tastes

like the real Texas fried chicken cuz I never had it #crf

Texture was super convincing and totally on point!🤘 #hailseitan 🤘 Not sure what kind of

spices go into Texas-style fried chicken batter but their blend could definitely be improved, it got way too salty for me after the third piece. Still worth a trek to the east cos I like the ambience of this place, no a/c but it's chill and the music so zen. Will be back to try their porridge (to see if it lives up to their sign that says "Porridge King" 粥大王 haha) and the rest of their extensive but inexpensive menu!

Best dipped in sauce. The outside is nice crispy and delicious and the inside... well

it tasted like soy I guess 😅

Did this taste like Texas fried chicken? no. Did I still like it? Yes.

Day 23 #veganisnotscary

Had high hopes for this dish but it was disappointed. It was very bland and

I had to dip it in a load of chilli sauce to make it flavourful. The only redeeming quality was the crispiness of the outer layer.

This was an extremely spontaneous visit. Since this place is near my university and i

had a lunch break, i simply looked up for some vegan food near the area and found this! Took me 15 minutes to walk here from my school.

I’ve never had texas fried chicken before so i don’t know how this fairs with the actual thing. The “chicken” is made using seitan and battered extremely well. It is perfectly crispy on the outside, not to mention the “meat”-to-batter ratio! They are extremely generous with the seitan portion. If i put my hatred towards the taste of meat aside, i would say this tastes great. 100% vegan chicken 🐥 from this vegetarian stall. Best consumed with some sauce.

Very nice uncle and auntie that run this place!!! I have envy for anyone who

lives near here because Sims Ave has a whole stretch of good (mostly) vegan food. It's also very near a number of temples. The batter didn't taste anything that suggests "Texas" but it sure was really crispy! I think the batter that they use for their cutlets were tastier. This one's just seitan inside so the texture goy monotonous after awhile. This was also really filling so I brought them home in the end.

Pretty decent crispy shell on the chicken but felt like they needed sauce which is

never a great sign (probably slightly on the dry side). Would deffo order again though!

The taste not bad. The texture is a bit hard and dry. I feel a

bit overwhelming after the 3rd piece.
