red wine pear and lime sorbet

Dessert. Something to look forward to - usually. This poached pear wasn’t poached long enough, to the center was still very hard and crunchy. The lime sorbet didn’t taste like lime and looked very artificially colored. The twig of mint had also seen better days already. It had lots of black spots. Yeah, disappointing. #dessert #finedining Few weeks ago I treated myself to a birthday dinner at this place. I didn’t love it here honestly. Service was lacking for the price paid, food was average in taste but looked pretty.

Poached pear with a taste / texture that was reminiscent of Chinese herbal dessert (remedy for cough relief haha). Elegant dessert; personally would have preferred creamy vegan ice-cream or yoghurt on the side instead of icy sorbet, since the pear already had some crunchiness/juiciness. #sgvegan #sgdessert

I expected the pear to be softer but it’s more crisp; the lime sorbet was way too sweet for me but my mom liked it. Overall it was an ok dish for me
