Food so real at Real Food 🤤 this vegan balachan fried rice really hits the

spot. The carrots are finely diced and along with the raw purple cabbage garnish, distributes a great crunch. The brown rice is served in perfect texture, and all the ingredients come together with the fermented soy balachan paste. This might not sound appealing, but when I crave fried rice, I’m craving the indulgent oiliness of fried rice– this Vegan option served it right, but because of the great ingredients they use at Real Food, you aren’t left feeling sick.

Really flavourful and lots of umami taste in there. Another great recipe which shows vegan

food can be really tasty too. Also like it that there's purple cabbage (extra antioxidant boost!), carrots, corn etc for the crunch

A bed of fragrant, spicy and tasty fried rice! The flavour was superb, and the

topping of crispy purple cabbage gave it that unique crunch. The serving was slightly smaller that I had expected, so only 3 stars for value. Love how this dish didn't require any mock meat at all, because lots of diff types of veggies were generously weaved into the fried rice! 🌈🌈#friedriceparadise #veganisnotscary

$10.80! my sister loves this, but I personally felt it was kinda meh. didn’t really

have that wok hei flavor, and barely any belachan taste! although it wasn’t too greasy. it was just a modest plate of fried rice that was no bad I guess! rice was cooked well, liked the addition of raw purple cabbage for some freshness. but overall quite meh imo! #veganisnotscary

Couldn’t taste the belachan at all.. pretty underwhelming a dish. But, should one be expecting

much from fried rice? This doesn’t live up to its belachan name.

For a plate of fried rice, it really pleased my palate. The spice mix from

the belachan elevated the dish BUT the spiciness could be leveled up. It's really a comfort food, just add a side of chilli padi (birds eye chilli) for the kick. Shiokadoo!

Used short grain rice (Japanese) - my guess. Rice was on the harder side. I

wish it wasn't that oily. 'Belachan' was not spicy at all so it is suitable for all to eat.

about $10.90 I think? oooo my parents really enjoyed this a lot. was super fragrant

and fried really well without being too oily! although couldn’t really taste the belachan though, more of a really good plate of fried rice. love the freshness that the raw purple cabbage gave!!

Can't really taste any "belachan" nor spiciness. But, they used brown rice, and taste healthy!

Otherwise, decent fried rice!

This dish smells awesome... The Belachan smell is really nice.. it is not spicy so

even my 3 year old toddler enjoys it.
