While this looks like đź’© it tasted delicious #ethiopianfood the injera (pancake at the bottom)

is well fermented and thus slightly sour. It’s topped with all kinds of stews, some salad, rice, potatoes and more. My favorite was the spinach stew. You eat it with your hands by taking a piece of injera and scooping up some of the dish you want. Then you simply eat it. So yummy and unique.

My second time having African food (specifically Eritrean and Ethiopian). I got the vegan platter

which included almost all their vegan dishes: Timtimo lentils (red lentils, onions, chili, garlic and herbs), Alicha (potatoes, onions, carrots and bell pepper), Shiro (chickpeas, herbs) and Hamli (spinach with herbs). All served on injera bread which is fermented teff flour pancakes basically! So tasty. My favorite was the Hamli. You eat it like this: tear off some bread, wrap it around the food, insert into your mouth. No cutlery required. It’s not only tasty but also a fun eating experience. I had it with some African pineapple beer 🍍 12.50€ for the whole platter, 4€ for the beer! Well worth it.

This was the first time for me to eat in an African restaurant and I

was very surprised they had so many vegan options! This is the large vegan dish to share between two people, but it could have been easily shared between three. The lentils are a bit spicy, but they also are the best part of the dish in my opinion
