Truffle Risotto

Finally a vegan risotto that doesn’t contain any milk/cream, so you really taste the truffle

and you don’t feel sick from the heaviness of usual risottos with dairy.

Joie by Dozo is a completely vegetarian restaurant with the amazing service, very friendly staff and beautiful ambience.

If you have any allergies, they’ll happily accommodate and they have a dedicated vegan menu! It’s a 7-course dinner and you get to pick a dish from every category. Every single dish was bomb 💯

It’s also VERY reasonably priced. Paid about $150 for 2 pax and a glass of wine. Really fun experience and very value for money with great food. Ideal for date night or with friends! No need to pay $60 for a gastronomical dish consisting of foam at a pretentious restaurant when there’s this place!

It tastes more than it looks. Very unique and rich in flavor! The creamy

taste was also really nice.

Risotto with black truffle and a few soybeans. The vegan version basically removed the mascarpone

cream and croquette, without any other ingredients swapped in. The texture wasn't like what I would expect of risotto, and was more similar to Chinese porridge. There was also virtually no ingredients; would have appreciated vegan replacements such as a lentil croquette or roasted mushrooms. The risotto itself could be a little softer/more cooked. At first I was a little

disappointed that the truffle flavour was on the lighter side, but turned out to be well balanced as the dish didn't become jelat like other truffle risottos I've had! #veganuary

Truffle risotto with a corn fritter. The rice was very fragrant and the fritter was

fried to perfection. That said, this dish gets ‘jelak’ fast cause it’s literally just rice. I think this is more suited for sharing. #abillionlove

Came with a potato croquette and a thin slice of truffle. Overall it was well-cooked

with balanced flavors (not too salty too)—anyone who’s a fan of truffle should give it a go!

This is one of the main course of the restaurant, but the truffle risotto doesn't

really taste good as expected. It is a bit hard to chew and the taste is a bit too light, even the side dishes are better than that. Other than that, their staffs are quite friendly and approachable.

Out of the meal, this is probably my least favorite albeit still good. I wish

there was more originality to the dish but its a simple truffle risotto, quite salty
