Now that I think about it… I’m not sure I’ve ever had this #japanese dish 🤔 #vegan or otherwise 😮 but I knew it was going to taste exactly as it looked — which it did 😛 I reckon #mockfish was one of the first perfected of the #vmockmeat experiments. Every one I’ve had has been consistently good 😋 this one included! The #grilled execution made for a dryer result but there was still a decent containment of some juices. Besides… this #fish is coated in #teriyaki anyway 😝 The black pepper was a nice touch or at least it would’ve been if they were using Sarawak #blackpepper 😏 If you’re wondering whether you were suddenly passed by an umbrella, the answer is yes; because that was totally shaaddeee 😁 Nevertheless, this dish still delivered on that sweetly charred goodness 🤪 $14 for this serving of 4 pieces though?! 😳 Not today, satan 🤐 It’s great but certainly overpriced IMO 🫨
You ever at the doctor’s and think to yourself, how did it get like this? 😔 Well, delicious food like this of course 😋 S$15 for 4 slices of very regular #veganfish is a bitch of a stretch, but the lovely #teriyaki topping and grilling for me is still a treat! Gosh I miss my Penang cooking setup 🥲 Topped with sesame too, this helped me get my #fish fix, but it’s really hard to recommend over all the other more “difficult” menu items you can order 🤞
Decided to try a new dish for a change to change things up. Love the teriyaki flavour and texture although if you were deciding between this and the sushi, I’d defo go with their sushi just cause they’re so good!
Nice side dish - I’m not usually a fan of mock fish products but this one wasn’t too fishy and had a really good texture! I would deffo order this again!
Essentially, tofu wrapped in seaweed. The teriyaki sauce was nice and a bit sweet but the I couldn't get past the bland tofu taste.
