Hainan Chicken Rice

Was in d mood for cheeken rice so ordered this This was really simple and yummy The #mockchicken was #beancurdskin t hr was cooked to a nicely roasted feel on the outside,really soft n juicy inside. I was quite amazed at how they achieved this texture. #rice was simple, flavoured lightly with #sesameoil The set came with the #veganchicken with lovely #veganoystersauce , #cucumber n boiled #bakchoy and a side serving of #soup The #sambal was so so wasn’t too fantastic but its fine i enjoyed the meal.

Promotional teatime rate (2 - 5pm on 'normal days') at $6 with a drink. We've got the soothing vegetable #soup on the right, #chickenrice on left (can be better perfumed) but really, the star of the show 👉 #deepfried crispy, gelatinous strips of roasted chook. Roasted seitan chicken that didn't really taste like chicken but was quite enjoyable nonetheless with the gravy! Quite nicely balanced with vegetables, specifically a side of bok choy in 'oyster sauce' as well as cucumber slices. Flavourful rice even without chicken stock or chicken oil, albeit moist to the extent of being slightly soggy/mushy. Served with a bowl of clear soup. (Allium-free, $7.60) #sgvegan
