soup was pretty good!! would've loved more veggies and tofu hehe but it's still good

overall (・∀・)

Soup is tasty and definitely no oil. Overall is great except that I would

prefer to have more preserved vegetables. And to top with more paisley would be nice!

🍜 Kway Chap is a popular vegan dish of flat rice broad sheet-like noodle in

a dark soy sauce broth with fragrant dark gravy with braised peanuts, tau kwa (firm large bean curd) & tau pok (small deep fried bean curd pockets)
🍜 The origin is from a Chinese Teochew style of braised pork, hard boiled eggs, bean curd, fish cake and pork innards.
🍜 I never liked pork but always liked the soy sauce flat rice noodles, so this is a really nice vegan dish
🍜 Best eaten piping hot as the noodles are silky smooth and melts in the mouth
🍜 A good rendition here & only gave lower points because of the use of disposable plate & saucer for dine in.

Oh shucks, 🥜 and what's worse, countable kernels of em to form a morsel trio

of accompaniments alongside a tiny slab of #braised #tofu and briny #saltedvegetables . #Intestines took on the form of uber salty mock slivers and what else? There's nothing else for the paid value of $6.30. Order if you're a #carbivore ; #kwayteow party perhaps to make up for what's rightfully missing (plate blown up to ideal proportion)

Broth stock doesn’t hit the spot unfortunately - so close! Maybe if they boil it

overnight? The rice noodles taste out of a plastic packaging, again I may be nitpicking as Kway Chap was one of my favourites prior going vegan and I’m #teochew myself so it’s a big deal 🤠 The stock is the most important component of the dish. Served with tofu, mock triple layer meat and peanuts #veganuary

Could be better. The kway was in a lump. Broth was mediocre. Interesting combination of

sides with the preserved veg, peanuts, braised mushrooms and tofu. Peanuts were not braised, not soft and not seasoned.

Broth has good mushroom flavour. The kway were slightly stuck together but okay once you

give it a stir. Preserved veg had a pleasant savoury taste. Overall, quite alright for this dish but not something I would return to again and again. Priced $5 on the menu.

Would’ve preferred more vegetables or tofu instead of the mock meat but broth is tasty

with a hint herbal flavor.

Felt that the soup base should be stronger, was a bit bland imo!
