I think this is one of the most innovative dishes on the menu, I’ve never

seen this anywhere else. The crispy beancurd and the plum
sauce really bring this together. I think we ordered 3 plates of them!

This was delicious! I love DIY dishes and this one was super fun to roll

up the fried Beancurd around some veggies. This was the first dish I had with my new friend @yuan at #empress at the Asian Civilizations Museum in Singapore.

Crispy bean curd ‘Peking duck-style’ at Empress - always a favourite of mine #plantbased @abillionveg

It’s

really crispy and tasty, even better than the original Peking duck dish, without the cruelty.

Posted by owner of Empress but it is really yummy 😋

Love the addition of the fried beancurd skin, on top of the battered mock meat,

as it adds another layer of cruchiness to the dish. I am guessing it was supposed to mimick the crispy duck skin and i think it did deliver that pretty well :) Always a fan of the plum sauce too and it was pretty fun to role up the crepe yourself hehe👍🏻👌🏻

probably the most innovative dish i had that evening and it really brought me back

to my childhood reunion dinners during chinese new year! overall i really enjoyed this but felt that it could have been meatier and had an additional fatty element to it.

Great flavour but presentation could have been improved. I had to use my hands to

roll these up and there could have been more garnish like spring onion. Quite a small portion even for an appetiser

Texture is not bad. Skin is thin. I like the paired dipping sauce. As this

is beancurd it's not as good as the taste of it gets damp after awhile.
