I thought RM16 for this was stupendous value. 4 massive slabs of #tofu, battered and deep-fried (#sweetdreamsaremadeofgrease right) and served with some kind of vegan tartare sauce on the side (an insufficient quantity thereof 😅) I didn't think the #tofish reference was justified because this was unmistakably still tofu rather than fish in its texture, but it was nevertheless thoroughly enjoyable. #leavethefishinthesea people 😏
If fysh is to #fish what mylk is to milk, they definitely earn brownie points with this one 🐟 It’s a handcrafted — their words, #tofu wrapped in #seaweed and then #battered in what I can only imagine is self-raising flour 👩🍳 The result is astonishing 😋 It truly tastes like the ocean, but a milder way than any #veganfish does. The dip they serve is excellent too though I have no clue as to what it is. Perhaps a #tartarsauce? RM16 for 4 pieces is about what’s expected of a place this upscale. In fact it’s a real head-scratcher how they pull it off since @stevenneoh and I counted an almost 1:1 staff to patron ratio 🤨 In any case, a must-try 😙
