Cake Care Box

Got these from a vegan bakery - Wellsmoocht! The cakes were DELICIOUS, especially the banana chocolate cake at the far right. I’m such a sucker for dense banana cakes 😍😍😍

Someone ordered a cake care gift set for me as a surprise delivery during Circuit Breaker. Overall, this box of treats were not just aesthetically pleasing but also delicious. Lemon Sea Salt Crumble Cake - This cake was crumbly but still moist. There was a very interesting combination of sweetness, saltiness, and tanginess. This was without doubt my favourite bake of all! Banana Rose Cake - This cake had a fluffy texture with floral notes throughout. This was surprising because I initially thought the flower petals were just scattered on top for aesthetics, but there was actually a floral fragrance integrated into the banana cake. Matcha White Chocolate Cookie - This cookie had a strong matcha aroma. The bitterness of the matcha was balanced out by the white chocolate bits. Cheesecake Brownie (GF) - This cheesecake brownie was rich and moist. The sweetness quite mild; I think the sweetness was natural and made from dates. However, the edges tasted a little sour. Pistachio & Strawberry Ladoo - Both ladoos had a nice toasted taste and a bit of crunch from the coconut and sesame seeds. I didn't really notice much difference in taste between the pistachio and strawberry flavours Lychee Raspberry Donut - The donut bread was chewy and light, and thankfully not oily. The frosting was fruity and very sweet.

Had the delicious earl grey passionfruit & matcha crumble cake. The earl grey passion fruit cake was exquisite, freshly made as we visited, and of course beautiful. For the matcha crumble cake, it was generously coated with matcha. The only issue is both cakes, as vegan cakes, were a bit off in texture, and perhaps needed to be sweeter. But overall it was great! Really good experience at the cafe overall too.
