'Bacon‘ Pancakes

Puhhhh this is the stuff I dream about 💭 Fluffy #pancakes 🥞 meet #bacon 🥓 meet a sweet #palm #syrup. The pancakes were moist but #fluffy, and great on its own already. The bottom of each pancake was dotted with somewhat salty #vegan bacon pieces. You also get two pieces of these on the side. They are crispy but don’t taste like much particularly. The #palm syrup was incredibly sweet and soaked into the pancakes nicely. Loved everything about it. @stevenneoh strikes again as an influencer lol

I know, I know. My first thought when I saw this was also how on God's bloody earth they could call this a "stack" of #bacon rashers, but well here's the deal: in addition to the 2 slivers of plant-based goodness that they serve to you on the side all #deepfried and crispy, there are also littler pieces embedded on the bottom of each #pancake ☺️ Talk about stealth attacks. The good thing is you get loads of it, the bad thing is that the bacon loses much of its crisp from being sandwiched by moist fluffiness in this way. But anyway, this 5-star review has nothing to do with the #fakebacon, and everything to do with the fluffy round things decorated with #sweettooth pleasers 😋 #palmsugar was in a way the perfect complement to the other flavours on offer here 🙂

My dad decided to order this in between our appetizers and mains, a little pre-meal pancake anyone? Despite the weird timing this was delicious. The pancakes were moist and fluffy and the rice paper bacon added a nice saltiness to the intense sweetness of the palm syrup.
