Tom Yum Zoodles

After a parade of gentle #veganappetizers and one crunchy punchy main, came this more powerful

addition to the dinner table 🫨 and the only warm one, at that 😂

Despite #tomyum dishes being a typically heavy contender, this (like all of @afterglow’s offerings) was pleasantly light 😋 There was @dafnelately more sweet than savoury present. The soft and perfectly cooked #zuchinni noodles were the perfect vessel for the almost-perfect sauce 😛 It had a decent amount of spice that worked harmoniously with the umami of #mushrooms. Though, I must admit the participation of the #capsicum A.K.A. #bellpeppers were just not my favourite 😅 as well as the understandably excessive #cherrytomatoes

$22 may be the least value compared to the other dishes of the night but I respect the quality nonetheless 🫡

Ugh, #zoodles are always just so frikkin good 🤤 These ones with #tomyum no less,

just fantastic! This one’s for the #spicy & #mushroomlover crowd 🍄 They had such an amazing assortment of yum in that one bowl! 😋 I was not expecting it to be soupy from the looks of it but underneath that pasta looking gravy that rests on that mount of #mushrooms and zoodles was a thin, capsicum heavy, broth 🍜 I would genuinely come back for this! Every persons reaction to this was an audible wow! 🤩 That’s #bestpicks territory if I’ve ever heard of it 😙

The sauce!!! was super! A standout. And I can see why nearly every table had

ordered this. It’s as if they KNEW.
But do note it can be spicy! Packed with umami flavour - a nice tomyum, but balanced w tomato-eyness 🍅 , incorporated mushrooms were sliced thinly & soft. If you are packing to go/delivery, you can probably portion out some of the sauce to keep for eating over other days simply bc it makes such a good side dish addition 🤭 && they were way too generous with the sauce in proportion to zoodles.

My first time trying zucchini noodles and I’m surprised by how smooth and fine just like angel hair pasta and perfect texture - not too soft not too crunchy! 🍝 But definitely can be more filling. But it usually just is a matter of adding waaaaay more volume for me if using veggies to replace carbs

Not bad! Quite fresh and appetizing. The portion is huge - can definitely be shared

for 2.

This was pretty good. Came in a sizeable amount! Was told that it’s slightly spicy

but tbh I think the fvsh burger was spicier. This was on the sweeter/spicy side. Very flavorful though!

Sauce was packed separately from zoodles. Huge serving, and I felt like I ate a

week's worth of veggies in one sitting (also had to leave some for an afternoon snack). Super healthy tasting. This is a room temp/cold dish and I prefer warm food.

The Tom yam was slightly too sweet for my liking cause I like Tom yam

more savoury and sour but still really flavourful with all the spices!

For $22, it's a little on the expensive side. However, price aside, the sauce was

tasty and it definitely packs a punch on the spicy note!
