Tasty and thirst-quenching soda which went perfectly with my meal. This was in Tevy's again - a small but cozy restaurant just a short walk away from the riverfront and Pub Street. The menu encourages vegans to ask for what can be made vegan, and this drink was with or without honey - as soon as I asked about vegan food, the waitress knew that I would want the version that didn't include honey! The menu also has a page on sustainability and there's also a lovely message in the menu from their founder, Tevy herself, about her experiences during the Cambodian genocide, and her dedication to the restaurant. #vegantravel #vegancambodia #vegansiemreap

First dish in Cambodia! 🇰🇭 😋 I stumbled across Tevy's Place completely accidentally - I was intending to try out Banlle, a fully vegetarian restaurant in Siem Reap, but when I got there it was completely dark, with a sign saying that they were closed for the Khmer New Year. Luckily, Tevy's was just a few doors down, and even though they aren't fully veggie, they have an entire page of their menu dedicated to veggie and vegan food. I tried the Mushroom and Tofu Amok. #Amok is a traditional Cambodian dish where the food is steamed in coconut cream wrapped inside a #bananaleaf, then served still in the leaf. It was beautifully presented and seriously tasty! 😋 It was also ridiculously cheap considering how much I ate. Definitely recommend this restaurant for vegans visiting Siem Reap! #vegancambodia #vegansiemreap #vegantravel

⚠️ Caution! This dish is not vegan if you don't tell the servers you'd like noodles without eggs. They typically use egg noodles for this meal, but as I required, they swapped them out for spaghetti without egg for me. Highly appreciated. 🫶🏼 I enjoyed this meal, only the raw-ish tofu was a bit disappointing. Super cheap for a nice bowl though so you won't hear me complain.
