A simple dish, but not a bad one. This fully vegetarian restaurant is located in a small shopping mall just off Nathan Road. It's surprisingly big, with plenty of dining space. When we arrived, the wait staff were all sitting down for their dinner, and they were eating the restaurant food too, which was a very good sign! Plenty of vegan menu items, and this one came as a large portion! #vegantravel #veganhongkong #hongkong

Clay pot rice is always fun to eat even though it's not very good for you - essentially just some rice and a few toppings in a very hot pot, served with soy sauce. Usually clay pots burn some of the rice so there's some crispy (but carcinogenic lol) rice at the bottom. This pot wasn't hot enough to do that but it was still good and we found the preserved vegetable topping flavorful enough without needing the soy sauce.

I love the combination of these three things together. The sesame sauce also has a strong peanut flavor, and go great mixed with the green bean sheets that look like cheung fun. This is always a simple but good and safe appetizer to start with.

I really enjoyed this - it's flavorful but not too heavy, depending on how much of the sauce you keep on the broccoli. It goes great with rice and has a decent portion of vegetables.

We did NOT expect a whole "fish" to show up when we ordered this haha. The "fish" is deep fried soy protein (I think) and it's really good but so unhealthy. This is definitely a heavy dish that is better eaten with some rice or something else light.

This type of vegetable (I can't find the English name, but it's 枸杞菜) is traditionally used to make a soup with actual pig liver. Even though this is made using mock meat - and the texture is pretty convincing, actually - the soup has a nice comforting flavor. A good light dish to balance out some of the heavier dishes in this Chinese restaurant.

We didn't expect an appetizer to be so large! The "chicken" is actually pretty strongly flavored with sesame oil and I wish there were more veggies to neutralize it. It's still good though - if you share it!

A vegan twist on the classic Chinese dish of Peking Duck with paper thin wraps and some shredded cold vegetables. This was so good and so fun to eat - although the "duck" isn't the most convincing, they are fried to crispiness and have a rich flavor, so much so that I don't miss the real thing at all.

The satay was mediocre - it mostly felt oily, without much complexity of flavor. The eel is not very convincing, although it tastes fine as beancurd. It's definitely a dish you need to eat with white rice, but even then, it's quite heavy.
