vegan sausage roll

I’m re-reviewing the sausage roll from Armoni coffee house. It’s a been a while since I first tried it. As always, delighted that they’ve got something vegan in the savoury section but wearying slightly from that being a sausage roll! I always hope to see something like a vegan cheese and tomato toasty, but they are rare. This sausage roll was warmed up and served on its own. I would’ve enjoyed a bit of fresh green garnish. The pastry was nicely browned and flaky. The filling was too much of a paste for my taste. More like a stuffing blend. I’m more of a rough nutty mix fan. However, I ate it all with relish as it was nice to have savoury instead of sweet. Quite pricey at £6.95. The cafe is pleasant, warm and filled with the aroma of freshly ground coffee which they grind in the same space. #veganinlondon #vegansausageroll #vegansnacks

There’s a countless number of cafes in this pleasant part of London, but not many of them score well on the provision of vegan food. Because so much cafe food is something they prepared earlier they can’t adapt anything to be vegan either. Armoni Coffee house had a selection of baguettes and filled croissants but none were vegan. There was just this lonesome #vegansausageroll so I nabbed it as this was our third attempt to find a cafe with something vegan. The very nice person serving warmed it up which made it much more appealing straightaway. It was a densely packed filling of well-herbed ‘something’ - soybean perhaps. Sage was the strongest flavour which I enjoyed. The pastry was not too thick and was in good proportion to the filling. The cafe has a pleasant atmosphere and uses organic coffee beans to make a good, hot oat flat white and the like. #cafesnack #govegan #alwaysaskforveganoptions
