With creamy, perfectly ripe avocado, carrot & cucumber, Ryo’s vegetable roll was frankly basic (yet delish!). And, at $5.95 for a plump, six piece roll, a great value, too.
After a visit to the Georgia O’Keeffe show, an open window seat at Ryo’s was a welcoming spot to sit, decompress & eat.
I asked for no cucumber in my veg roll & ordered an avocado roll ($4.95) as well. They have a few additional vegan rolls & can make substitutions.
As mentioned in a previous review, Ryo is just a couple of blocks from the Art Institute of Chicago, making it a convenient spot for a pre or post museum visit. The window seats are ideal for solo dining, contemplating & people watching, etc., though they have a dining room as well, which was popping on my visit.
Keep scrolling for a few pics from inside the museum & city pics from just outside the museum’s Modern Wing & Michigan Ave, as I walked to Ryo.
