It's been YEARS since I'd had Prive's vegan carrot cake and while I don't recall being wowed by it previously, this was severely underwhelming. The 'cream cheese' was less dense and too watery, the cinnamon spice was just mild, and this was less packed with raisins and carroty bits than I liked. And of course it was just too sweet. Shall continue to be on the lookout for a properly good carrot cake.
It's been a long time since I've had a cake - vegan cakes are not easy to come by. This was pretty good and moist. It certainly scratched that itch for cake. Would order it again.
Super tasty and nutty and carroty; I really enjoyed this vegan version of an old favourite.
Im not a big fan of carrot cake in general. But this carrot cake tastes delicious. This veganised version of carrot cake is delicious. Its texture is creamy (icing) and goes really well with the nuts on the top. The spongy cake part had an essence of cinnamon which made this dish really nice.
That was one really good carrot cake! Sweet but not overtly sweet, subtly spiced up by cinnamon, and with actual pieces of carrots! Also, each ‘layer’ of cake is topped with a nice cream/icing which lighten then cake a bit! The slice is topped with walnuts (and there are a few more within the cake) which bring some crunchy! Though I feel like it would be just as fine (if not better) which slightly less walnuts (and don’t get me wrong, I’m a sucker for nuts!) 🙃 Also, I feel like the slice’s rather formal design makes it look kinda artificial, whereas it tastes wholesome and yummy! After all, we shouldn’t judge a book by its cover! And surely this book is worth reading 😁 Would definitely have this again! It costs $7 ++ for a quite huge serving.
