I love dosa, they are simple, light and satisfying. They are low in saturated fat so quite a healthy option. The good carbohydrates in the dosa batter release slowly and give you the energy needed through the day if you have one at breakfast time which I think is the traditional time to eat them in India. I also enjoyed the accompanying spicy paste and sambar, which had a creamy texture. This particular Dosa was a tiny bit oily which is the only reason I didn’t go the whole 5 star.
Jai Krishna is an excellent, local vegetarian restaurant offering a wide choice of vegan dishes. It still manages to run on a cash only, bring your own drink policy.
Along with our 2 plain dosa, we shared spinach dal, cauliflower curry and rice and the meal for two came to £28
