Ooh, I rather enjoyed this hearty bowl of lor mee - starchy hokkien #noodles in vinegary soya saucy 'zhup' (gravy) with 'ngoh hiang' (vegan meat roll), topped with crispy deepfried beancurd sheets and CORIANDER. This didn't need to be veganised as no egg was added. Available only on Mondays at SGD4.20 (revised 2025 pricing from 2024's SGD4).
Lor mee is boiled thick yellow wheat noodles in a soup that has soy sauce and vinegar. It comes with mung bean sprouts, soy bean skin and tastes nice. It costs $4 per bowl. The vegetarian restaurant or food court is self service and has a rice and mixed vegetables, noodles, and western stalls. Wheelchair access is via a lift from the Buddhist temple above. It is air conditioned and has toilets.
Tasty lor mee. Replicates the taste quite well without meat and garlic
