Minced Meat U Mian

Looks good, tastes good - noodles are chewy, sauce is made of black bean paste and mushroom. Mock fish seemed a little out of place.

Was expecting a soup version but it turned out to be dry noodles! Featuring fried soy 'fish' strips and soy 'minced meat'. Savoury but overall very oily (Toasted sesame oil? Cheap vegetable oil?), one mouth was enough to induce instant throat discomfort for me... There was a good amount of vegetables, including broccoli, bok choy, and shredded cucumber, but the oil was too inflammatory for me. However I'm usually more sensitive to oil; my companion was fine with the dish! (Allium-free, $7.60) #sgvegan
