Okay this review is going to be for the whole dish pictured, not just the chickn’. Upon first inspection you knew you were getting a work of love. Then you cut into the house made seitan Chikn’ and the crust audibly crunches and you see the light. The breading is wonderfully seasoned and did not get mushy under the flavorful gravy. It also flaked off as I was shoveling into my mouth at warp speed, which provided me with my favorite mashed potato topping. Funnily enough, my friend and I were just discussing what makes a perfect mashed potato. Take a long look at these beauties. The bits of skin, small bits of potato to mashed ratio, and not runny consistency is exactly what I seek out. These rustic mashed potatoes were perfect on their own but when topped w. The left over bits of the breading, each bite transported me back to my mother’s kitchen. This dish also came with green beans, which were also great. Normally, I’m not a green bean girl, but the broth was phenomenal and they were cooked perfectly - little bit of bite, but not rubbery or raw. Totally enough food to stuff a normal human being and a 20/10 rating. So glad this is a permanent fixture on their menu.
