amikno Hello @soyflake thank you for you direct questions. We love when fellow Vegans are interested and want to learn more. Our product has never once been tested on a living animal other than ourselves during its creation, continued growth or any future the product has. The product was designed by a couple who have been Vegan for quite a few years. The husband has alpha gal as well so not only do they not want to consume animals by choice due to their love for all animals, but very much can’t handle even the smallest amount of cross contamination with meat, so they created a solution to quickly identify if a product has even micro volumes of animal product and by products. We were lucky as well to be able to work with a handful or both non-organic and Organic grocers to test their products in house without the need to purchase and waste animal products. The product is made up of only vegan safe, animal free materials. Every piece of the tests strip including the ink, packaging and test itself is made of biodegradable plant based materials. As vegans ourselves we know that many products aren’t what they say they are, and with an Amikno Test Strip, someone can verify if a product has even trace amounts of animal products in them.
