Feast Of Dips at Nuba in Yaletown — Le Raton Saveur's Review (Jun 18, 2025)

I absolutely love dips and this selection did not disappoint. It contained classic hummus, jalapeño herb hummus, baba ghanouj, pomegranate sumac hummus, and mama dallou’ah.

I did go back and look at a previous review I’d written, as I’d always said Nuba had my favourite baba ghanouj of all time. It used to be topped with pomegranate seeds and molasses - I was a little bummed they’d changed the topping to a more savoury tomato and onion mix. I’m guessing this was done to avoid similarities to the pomegranate sumac hummus. It was still delicious but I missed the sweet contrast to the smokey flavour.
