OKO - Fun Okonomiyaki Bar (遊べるお好み焼き屋 ＯＫＯ)

This was a letdown. I visited the sister-restaurant of this place the night before and was super eager to try the Okonomiyaki one but I was very disappointed. First of all, unlike the Takoyaki restaurant, this one is not fully vegan nor vegetarian: it also serves dishes with meat. The line to order was huge and the dish was very bad. There was so much stuff on top of the Okonomiyaki that I couldn’t even taste the Okonomiyaki itself. At first I thought they forgot about it and just served me a plate full of stir fried veggies. The flavor was super bland despite the huge amount of sauce they poured on top. Since I was super hungry waiting in line for 40 minutes for this dish, once I was able to order I asked for the bigger portion and this was another mistake: I ended up leaving almost half my plate there because it was so bad and the portion was too big. If I can give you my 2 cents: this restaurant is fun and cute but nothing they serve is worth waiting in line for more than 30 minutes. I would suggest instead visiting a fully vegan restaurant and support them instead.

Shame! I’m still searching for a vegan okonomiyaki in London. I used to eat this before I went vegan and would love to try a vegan version.
