A dark chocolate egg filled with a semi-solid peppermint cream fondant. This was quite pricy at $5 per egg. The sweetness levels of both the chocolate and the fondant inside were kind of the same so there wasn’t much contrast. The chocolate was a lot sweeter than the bitter dark chocolate I’m used to and the cream fondant is a lot less sweet than the same in mint slice biscuits, which is welcomed. I think the dark chocolate should have been a lot darker and less sweet to really contrast with the mint cream. Another thing is that the egg is two separate halves filled and then put together, so there’s this divider of chocolate running down the centre getting in the way of being having a homogenous interior. Overall, was it yummy? Yes. Was it worth the price? Not really.
