Karaage with Tartar Sauce at Izakaya Masaka — K's Review (Dec 30, 2024)

Incredible vegan #karaage made from deep fried soy meat 🤤 The generous smothering of tartar sauce was probably the “eggiest” sauce I’ve ever had. Complete with chunks of “egg” (Japanese style tartar sauce apparently contains finely chopped boiled egg). I wonder how they make it because this was so legit! The karaage was well spiced and so crispy. Only tiny negative is it wasn’t hot when it arrived, my partner’s was so I guess they were waiting for his. Still super good though and great value, ¥850.
