Apple Tart at Dakota Jazz Club & Restaurant — Iszy's Review (Dec 14, 2024)

The Dakota seems to always have one vegan dessert option, which I greatly appreciate! The last time I went it was a key lime bar, but I wasn't able to get it. This time I made sure to order this early enough in the performance!

This apple tart paired so wonderfully with the Charlie Brown Christmas set. It is made beautifully with super thin slices of apple in a crumbly gluten free pie crust. It's topped with coconut vanilla ice cream. The ice cream is definitely needed because otherwise the dish is pretty dry. It has just a touch of cinnamon, but I think I could use more. Even though the pic crust is dry, I really loved the texture and buttery taste. I didn't even know it was gluten free!
