These cookies don’t have that warm intoxicating smell that traditional cookies have, nor the addictive properties where you can’t just stop after one cookie, but they’re still tasty in their own way and aren’t as unhealthy. To me, a cookie is not complete without nuts, so the bits of macadamia nuts in these really do you make a complete cookie for me as the name implies. Although I do appreciate the vegan white chocolate chips, since those aren’t common to come by, I’m not really impressed with the taste, which is like powdered sugar. After reading the ingredients, it’s no wonder. All it is is sugar, palm kernel and oil, sunflower, lecithin, salt, and “natural flavor,” whatever that is. There’s no cocoa butter, which would make it a true white chocolate. Of all cookie brands though, I tend to get these the most, since I rarely seek out cookies when shopping, yet these are strategically placed near checkouts, and they’re vegan, so I think Why Not, would be good for #onthego or in this case, #nationalcookieday.
