Jackfruit Bamboo-Shoot Curry at Namaste Cafe — Iszy's Review (Aug 11, 2024)

We've been seeing this dish for a while, so it was finally time to try it! This curry has big chunks of jackfruit in it. I was imagining smaller pulled strips, so it was surprising seeing it like this. The flavor thankfully seemed to marinate all the way through the whole triangle of jackfruit! This is a very nice meaty curry. @jonok said that it reminded him of goat curry. I didn't eat much Indian food before becoming vegetarian in college, so I don't have any memories of a meaty curry, so this was super unique to me. If you're looking for a meaty vegan curry, definitely try this out! This is one of the few entrees at Namaste that comes at a set spice level, and it's pretty hot!
