Summer Skies Refresher at Starbucks — bandita's Review (May 11, 2024)

If you bring your own cup, make sure that you use a straw that’s a little bigger than normal size, in order to get the full experience. This has raspberry flavored pearls that are spherified, so the very thin (almost non existent) membrane would burst in my straw that was too small, so I just saved a little for when I got home to enjoy them with a spoon, where the little liquified balls burst in my mouth.

The flavor was alright, nothing exciting or refreshing (a little on the side of just being able to taste sugar and artificial berry), not one that I’d get again, but it was fun to try once and nice to see Starbucks deliver something creative and vegan. Up until now, I’ve only read about spherification (when looking into making eggs and runny yolks) and thought that they were only served in cocktail bars and gourmet restaurants. #starbucks #raspberry #spherification #coconutmilk #refresher
