Mandarin Vegetable Rice at Nacion Sushi Heredia — Ire U. Dobles's Review (May 7, 2024)

This is a vegetable #mandarin #rice from a #southeastasia restaurant in #costarica called Nación Sushi. It was pretty good, maybe not as flavorful as I was hoping, but they made it work for me, as the dish originally has egg tortilla but I asked them without it and they helped me. The rest is just vegetables and the rice cooked in a wok with lemongrass oil, ginger and garlic. I think it may also have soy sauce. It was very good and enjoyable. I would eat it again.
The restaurant is not as vegan-friendly as other Asian restaurants may be, as this is the only rice dish that can be veganized, because the others have like fish sauces and stuff like that, there are other options like sushi and appetizers but not much. We went for my friends birthday so I’m glad there was at least one option. Oh and the pad Thai I had reviewed before.
The dish was about $12 and it was a good portion, so I will not complain about value, it was ok.
