Good Hill Farms

This red atemoya is one of the fruits in the box I recently ordered from Good Hill Farms. This was my first time trying fresh atemoya and I feel so fortunate that I was able to try two varieties!

An atemoya is a cross between a cherimoya and a sugar apple. I’ve not had a sugar apple but cherimoya are my favorite fruit!

The skin on this fruit was thinner than a cherimoya and the texture was a bit different. It is more solid and silky like a soursop or mango vs the more creamy texture of a cherimoya. The flavor is also tangier. It has some sour notes but is not sour, definitely sweet. Very tropical, juicy and hydrating. Such a delicious and special treat! So happy I tried it!

It is definitely a treat and not something I can swing often but if you are in the US and have the means, I recommend trying some U.S. grown speciality fruit. (Miami Fruit is a good option for folks on the other side of the country.). I was able to shop a special deal for this fruit box, so look out for deals! 👀

Definitely recommend for quality and customer service.

david- Just like a cherimoya! Cut it open and eat the flesh. Make sure not to eat the pits and skin 3 likesReply
