I knew as soon as I saw that whipped cream inside I had to have it. Vegan whipped cream is such a rarity for me to find that when I do, it’s like finding a unicorn, and that unicorn must be mine. Without the whipped cream, I’m afraid the croissant itself isn’t actually that good. Yes, it’s very large and also quite dry, like they baked it a little too long in an effort to get it to puff up more. It didn’t have that classic stretchy, buttery, delicately layered dough inside, but you can hardly tell this as the whipped cream is a marvellous distraction from this fact. The cream itself could have been just a tad sweeter but this was nicely compensated with the powdered sugar on top, which was fitting because eating this whole thing I was in ecstasy.
