I've been really enjoying this alternative shape for parmesan. It's a bit more elegant, so it looks really nice on dishes! This parmesan is nice and stinky, but the taste doesn't stay with you long. It has a good dry texture that crumbles easily. I think it looks really nice on bruschetta, salad, and pasta. It perfectly complimented Trader Joe's cashew ravioli along with tomatoes and basil. It doesn't melt as well as the shreds, but I like it more for cold applications.
