Whole Wheat Everything Bagel w/ Vegan Cream Cheese at Holey City Bagels — lilyycaroline's Review (Feb 14, 2024)

My friends ordered bagels and I was thankful to be able to participate! Hokey City Bagels has their vegan bagel options clearly marked on the menu and they offer vegan cream cheese. I was never actually a fan of bagels or cream cheese before going vegan, so I shouldn’t be surprised that I didn’t love this. To save money I just ordered the bagel and shmear and then filled it up with all my own veggies to make a huge veggie bagel sammie! I like everything bagel spices and love that this bagel was coated in it, but I found it a bit messy and it was hard to chew all the tiny seeds. The cream cheese was also too mild/sweetish so I definitely needed to add salt, which helped! Overall, I just don’t think I love the chewy texture of bagels or the taste of plain cream cheese, but that’s on me. I would prefer a hummus and veggie sandwich rather than this, but I’m thankful for the option and glad I got to try it out!
