Just moved to the area and am excited to try all the best of #vegan #washington.
This #thai restaurant in Tacoma is listed on Happycow with good vegan options so we tried it out. It is on the finer end of fine dining but not super fancy, but just keep in mind when you decide to come.
My husband and I got two entrees, a tea, a cocktail and an appetizer and were too full to eat it all and took most of it home. The bill was around $90 for everything.
This #appetizer is stacked crispy tofu with a sweet chili sauce and vegan #hoisin. Comes on a bed of lettuce with chopped carrots, cabbage and frrsh thai basil throughout. This was delicious. Will order again for sure. I am sure this dish would please most obnivores as well if you happen to be out in a group.
The menu is labelled with the word vegan on some dishes but also has a V sign to indicate what can be made vegan. As always, be sure to double check on stuff. My server, for example, asked if I wanted egg on my dish (after I indicated I wanted the vegan version) they do not carry vegan egg here so just double check with your server if you have any questions.
It is pretty busy on weekends so try to call ahead if you have a group of 3 or more. The restaurant vibe and decorations are very hip and unique, with a small waterfall instalation brtween some of the tables, tall rafters that look to be designed after some sort of temple.
