I’ve reviewed the Lazyday brand before and as always, delighted to see a product celebrating the fact that it’s vegan and gluten-free.
I like the mix of crumbly shortbread with a topping of gloopy caramel. It is also described as having a crisp dark Belgian chocolate lid but that didn’t really stand out from the caramel for me.
I think the shortbread is too dry and there’s not quite enough topping to compensate for that.
Mind you, one was enough to satisfy the desire for some sweetness after dinner.
I have a bit of a bug bear about the amount of plastic casing around the 5 little blocks. I’m sure they could design a way of protecting the pieces without such excess plastic.
I would probably get them again as they do have a hint of luxury about them without any harm to animals.
