Veggie Sampler (Med) at Lulu EthioVegan Cuisine — Iszy's Review (Dec 3, 2023)

You just have to get a sampler when you go to an Ethiopian restaurant! At Lulu, the samplers come in small (2 dishes), medium (4), large (6), and family (all veggie dishes + fitfit + shiro wot).

My medium dish came with gomen, atkilt wot, ater kik, and miser wot. The gomen was so delicious. The collard greens were cooked so deliciously and my mouth was watering so much. I always love the potato and cabbage in atkilt wot. The ater kik was my favorite, like always! Lulu's miser wot was the best I've had so far! It was a nice smoky flavor from the berbere sauce. The warming spices like nutmeg and cardamom really came through. It also ended up getting pretty spicy towards the end. So delicious! I also really love how they cut the injera; the wavy sides are a nice touch!

Lulu is a bit more expensive than other Ethiopian restaurants I've been to. For example, this four dish combo is $18.99 — the regular sampler at Bolé which includes five dishes and is $15.95.
