The best of what #accidentallyvegan has to offer 👏

Fair disclaimer though ⚠️ — cross contamination is bound to happen here as this is primarily an omnivorous spot. I used to frequent it in my pre-vegan days for their bakso and get my fill of #sambal 🌶️ I did verify then & then again since that the #batter they use is #eggfree (certainly tastes and looks that way too) but as is common with omnivorous spots recipes change so I’d recommend you call your best judgement each time 😇

I love this #tempeh set & frankly it’s a guilty pleasure of mine, primarily for the sambal #jingkrak it comes with. The price has really shot up over the years, from around RM6 if my memory serves me right to RM10.40 for a set with less sambal and no longer even an accompaniment of rice. Perhaps that’s just implied when you dine in? This was a #takeout by the way as the #reviewwithaview should imply 😉 I’d highly recommend pairing this with a couple cheeky drinks 🍻 You don’t have that luxury if you dine in 😛

Jingkrak is a funny name for a sambal, to jingkrak-jingkrak is to dance or hop around out of joy 🕺 I’ve been told the name originates both because of the feeling it gives you or more likely because the ominous amount of oil used to make it splatters all about 😂 No set recipe, but this is a simple feast of #palmoil, #chilli, and #tomato 🍅 I definitely jumped a little after joy after having this 🤭

The set comes with none other than tempeh and the odd #aubergine / #eggplant here and there 🍆 Both of which being great sponges for flavour!

Ease your omnis into ditching the carcass every once in a while for this instead 🫣 My friend has eased onto this completely over their chicken & that’s a win for me 😇
